Pekanbaru, June 27, 2026 – The 2nd Provincial Congress of the Indonesian Dragon and Lion Dance Sport Federation (FOBI) Riau Province officially re-elected Andrie Djaja as Chairman of FOBI Riau Province for the 2026-2030 term. The decision was reached by acclamation during the congress, which was attended by representatives of FOBI regency and municipal chapters from across Riau Province.
The Provincial Congress was conducted in an orderly and constructive atmosphere, reflecting the organization’s democratic process in determining the leadership that will guide FOBI Riau over the next four years.
The renewed trust placed in Andrie Djaja reflects recognition of his dedication and contributions to the development and promotion of dragon and lion dance sport in Riau Province throughout his previous term of office.
Under the new leadership period, FOBI Riau is committed to strengthening athlete development programs, enhancing the organizational structure at the regency and municipal levels, improving the quality of coaches and judges, and expanding youth development initiatives to nurture athletes capable of achieving success at both the national and international levels.
The 2nd Provincial Congress also served as an important opportunity to reinforce collaboration among the provincial board, regency and municipal chapters, and the entire dragon and lion dance community in Riau, with the shared goal of advancing the sustainable development of the sport throughout the province.
The Indonesian Dragon and Lion Dance Sport Federation extends its congratulations to Andrie Djaja on his re-election as Chairman of FOBI Riau Province for the 2026-2030 term. It is hoped that the new leadership will continue to strengthen the organization, elevate athlete performance, and further enhance FOBI Riau’s contribution to the growth of dragon and lion dance sport in Indonesia.
