Pangkalpinang, May 25, 2025 – The Extraordinary Provincial Meeting (Musprovlub) of the Indonesian Dragon and Lion Dance Federation (FOBI) in the Bangka Belitung Province was successfully held on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the KONI Provincial Office. This event followed a decree from FOBI to the local organizing committee, as part of the effort to improve the organization and strengthen its direction at the provincial level.

The meeting, which began at 1:00 PM, was attended by various important figures in the world of sports and culture in Bangka Belitung. Present at the event were Arifin Himawan, a representative from the National FOBI Board and acting caretaker, as well as Ricky Kurniawan, the Chairperson of the Bangka Belitung Provincial KONI. Also in attendance were representatives from four city and district-level FOBI boards, invited guests from lion dance clubs across the region, and members of the local media.

The main goal of this Musprovlub was to elect the new Chairperson of the Bangka Belitung Provincial FOBI for the 2025–2029 period. Beyond that, the meeting also served as an important moment to restructure the organization, fix existing shortcomings, and organize administrative documents at both provincial and local levels in line with the procedures and standards set by the national FOBI.

Through a smooth and collaborative meeting, all participants agreed to carry out the election by acclamation. The result of the Musprovlub was the unanimous appointment of Mehoa as the new Chairperson of FOBI Bangka Belitung for 2025–2029. This acclamation reflects the full support and trust from all participants toward her leadership.

With Mehoa’s election, it is hoped that the new board can bring positive changes to FOBI Bangka Belitung. Efforts to reorganize, build a stronger structure, and carry out more focused programs will be the main priorities under the new leadership. All those involved have expressed their commitment to supporting the new board to help FOBI Bangka Belitung grow into a more professional, united, and high-achieving organization — both nationally and internationally.
