The Indonesian Lion Dance Federation (PB FOBI) reaffirmed its commitment to advancing national achievements in the sport of Barongsai through the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) IV PB FOBI, held at Prime Plaza Hotel Sanur, Bali, from 19–21 November 2025.

The meeting, which carried the theme “Synergy and Innovation for Indonesia’s Barongsai Achievement on the World Stage,” was attended by 23 out of 30 provinces that are part of the FOBI family. The Rakernas serves as an organizational mandate as stated in the Articles of Association and Bylaws (AD/ART) Article 33.

Rakernas IV was officially opened by the Chairman of the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) General Headquarters, Letjen TNI (Ret.) Marciano Norman, represented on this occasion by the Vice Chair IV for Organizational Affairs of KONI, Marsma TNI (Ret.) Maria Veronica Tig.

In his remarks, PB FOBI Chairman Edy Kusuma emphasized the importance of strengthening synergy and innovation across all organizational levels to advance the development of Barongsai in Indonesia. “I believe that with synergy and innovation, we can elevate the achievements of Indonesian Barongsai both nationally and internationally,” Edy Kusuma stated.

Rakernas IV PB FOBI was divided into two working commissions.
Commission A discussed the improvement of the AD/ART to strengthen organizational governance, while Commission B focused on strategies for athlete development and competition management.

Through these two commissions, the meeting produced several key decisions that will guide the work programs of PB FOBI and provincial federations in the coming years. These include organizational strengthening, development direction, improved competition quality, and the establishment of standardized practices across Indonesia.

Rakernas IV PB FOBI 2025 in Bali is expected to serve as an important momentum to reinforce collective commitment toward advancing Barongsai in Indonesia. With strong collaboration among provincial federations, clubs, athletes, and officials, FOBI remains optimistic about building a more professional and sustainable Barongsai ecosystem that can compete on the global stage.
